Pierre & Alexandre Lorquin
Pierre and Alexandre Lorquin joined the Dina Vierny Gallery in January 2021, taking over from their father, Olivier Lorquin. Pierre pursued education in economics, entrepreneurship, and management in England before founding his first gallery in Paris in 2017. Named Prisme, this gallery invited other galleries (foreign, small, or emerging) to present exhibitions in its premises. Alexandre, on the other hand, received training in art history, museology, the art market, and management in France before gaining experience in galleries and auction houses, both in France and abroad. The duo’s first exhibition was symbolically dedicated to Maillol. Opened on January 25, 2021, exactly seventy-four years after the inaugural Maillol exhibition in 1947, this exhibition aimed to offer a fresh perspective on the artist, more open to his 20th-century heritage.

With the arrival of the third generation, the Dina Vierny Gallery took a new direction, focusing more on its original DNA, which is modern and post-war art. In addition to the gallery’s historical artists such as Maillol, Poliakoff, Couturier, Ra’anan Levy, naïve painters, and Russian non-conformists, new names were introduced, including Judit Reigl, Germaine Richier, and Michel Haas, for whom the gallery has shown great dedication. Beyond thematic hangings, each exhibition is explored from a scientific standpoint and delves into a novel subject, with almost every project accompanied by an ambitious publication containing expert texts.
