The Dina Vierny gallery has the honour to welcome Laurence Durieu for the signing of her book «Germaine Richier, l'Ouragane» on Wednesday, April 5th from 6 pm to 8:30 pm.

First illustrated monograph by Germaine Richier, this collection, rich in stories and anthology of interviews with relatives, also presents many unpublished archival photographs. Laurence Durieu, the little niece of the first sculptor to have exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art in 1956, delivers with emotion selected pieces of the life of this exceptional woman.

"The Ouragane is the impetuous storm, the precocious thunderstruck image that Germaine Richier has sculpted of herself. Forgotten, the importance of his work buried, it seems, after twenty years of inexplicable absence that this great female sculptor finally takes place in the classical perspective that goes from Michelangelo to Rodin.” Alain Jouffroy
