The Dina Vierny Gallery is pleased to present its exhibition ‘Matisse - Drawings’ from 15 October 2024 to 2 February 2025.

"I was twenty-two, I posed with pleasure, Matisse's words enchanted me. Like with Maillol, there wasn't a moment of boredom with him." Dina Vierny met Henri Matisse in her youth, through Maillol. She posed for him on numerous occasions. After Maillol’s death in 1944, Matisse became a central figure in her life, and, with the help of Jeanne Bucher, advised and supported Dina in opening her gallery. She dedicated four exhibitions to him between 1966 and 1982.
To revive the historical bond between the gallery and the "King of the Fauves," we have decided to present, in this year marking seventy years since the master’s passing, a unique selection of drawings highlighting his unparalleled mastery of line.
