The Dina Vierny Gallery is pleased to announce its upcoming exhibition dedicated to Henri Matisse. It will be held on rue Jacob, from October 15 to December 21, 2024.

"I was twenty-two, I posed with pleasure, Matisse's words enchanted me. Like with Maillol, there wasn't a moment of boredom with him." Dina Vierny met Matisse in her youth, through Maillol. She posed for him on numerous occasions. After Maillol’s death in 1944, Matisse became a central figure in her life, and, with the help of Jeanne Bucher, advised and supported Dina in opening her gallery. She dedicated four exhibitions to him between 1966 and 1982.

To revive the historical bond between the gallery and the "King of the Fauves," we have decided to present, in this year marking seventy years since the master’s passing, a unique selection of drawings highlighting his unparalleled mastery of line.
